Job Description The Sanitation Lead coordinates the clean-up crew to maintain the plant clean and cleans equipment when is necessary or requested. He/She must take the place of any absent worker or in the absence of the Sanitation Supervisor. • Participate in the administration of hourly employees., • Monitor the performance of all employees working under his/her direction., • Enforce company policies and procedures., • Maintain work area clean and organized., • Recognize and report any situation that could affect the safety of an employee., • Oversee the removal, replacement, ad dismantling of plant equipment and machinery., • Organize and distribute tasks to the employees., • Monitor supplies and parts as needed., • Responsible for reporting incidents and accidents immediately., • Drive scissor lift, pallet jack and scrubber machine., • Ensure all Sanitation techs are following SOP’s., • Mix and work with chemicals and understand the safety data sheets for each chemical., • Train new personnel., • Attend safety and quality training as required., • Able to work different schedules including weekends and holidays., • Ensure all employees are using LOTO equipment., • Ensure all employees are using the proper PPE’s at all times., • Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required. 2 years of Sanitation experience in a manufacturing facility required. Preferably in a food/beverage environment. *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES • Experience with regulatory inspectors (AIB, BRC, OSHA, Military, Health Department, EPA, City & County Inspectors)., • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and GMP’s, • Familiar with HAZMAT, • Ability to lift up to 50lbs., • Ability to work in a wet environment and greasy areas., • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and to work in high altitudes., • Able to withstand different climates-including hot temperatures., • Computer Skills, • Good Math skills, • Written and verbal communication skills, • Bilingual English & Spanish Our Full Benefits Package includes Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life insurance and AD&D Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
