We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support the safety, functionality, and overall quality of our child care centers. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities remain safe, well-maintained, and conducive to the growth and development of the children and families we serve. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across multiple sites, ensuring timely repairs, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination of facility needs. Position Overview In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical environment of our centers through proactive inspections, timely repairs, and strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners. You will play a key role in ensuring that all facilities meet health, safety, and licensing standards. Key Responsibilities • Facility Maintenance & Operations, • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs, • Coordinate and perform repairs related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general facility upkeep, • Respond promptly and effectively to urgent maintenance concerns, • Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks across multiple locations, • Budget & Inventory Management, • Assist in the development and oversight of the maintenance budget, • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of supplies, tools, and equipment, • Collaboration & Communication, • Work closely with center leadership, staff, and external vendors to address maintenance needs, • Communicate clearly regarding project timelines, repairs, and facility updates, • Compliance & Documentation, • Ensure all facilities meet applicable health, safety, and licensing regulations, • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in maintenance or a related field preferred, • Proven experience in maintenance or facilities management; supervisory experience preferred, • Strong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in urgent situations, • Valid drivers license and ability to travel between locations Work Environment & Expectations • Work will take place across multiple child care centers and office locations, • This is a hands-on role requiring physical activity, including lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking, • Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required to address urgent maintenance needs, • Exposure to typical child care environments, including communicable illnesses, may occur Professional Expectations The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to: • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong attention to detail, • Communicate effectively with staff, families, vendors, and leadership, • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Our Commitment We are committed to providing safe, welcoming, and high-quality environments for children, families, and staff.
