Job Description About the Role We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant General Manager to support the daily operations of our residential community. This key leadership role ensures our location runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with our HOA’s mission and standards. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership • Oversee daily operations across assigned departments., • Serve as acting leader of the location when delegated by the General Manager., • Develop and enhance operational policies and procedures., • Lead short- and long-term planning aligned with community goals., • Manage budgets, control spending, and ensure fiscal responsibility., • Direct all safety and security operations for residents and guests., • Supervise onsite security personnel and vendors., • Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and emergency agencies., • Review incident reports and implement proactive safety measures., • Oversee landscape and irrigation contractors., • Ensure common areas, greenbelts, and open spaces meet community standards., • Manage seasonal landscaping plans, tree maintenance, and water conservation efforts., • Direct maintenance and repairs of buildings, facilities, and community equipment., • Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure regulatory compliance., • Coordinate capital improvement projects with contractors and engineers., • Supervise the Resident Services Department to ensure timely support for residents., • Oversee work orders, building repairs, and service requests., • Recruit, train, and supervise staff and contracted service providers., • Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and accountability., • Conduct performance evaluations and staff development., • Lead departmental meetings to align teams with operational objectives. Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Public Administration, or related field., • Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in operations, facilities, or community association management., • Required certifications: CMCA and AMS; must be actively pursuing PCAM., • Experience in senior living, residential HOA, or hospitality settings preferred., • Strong understanding of HOA/community association operations and safety protocols., • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems., • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving ability., • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on community needs., • Commitment to maintaining required certifications. Physical Requirements • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods during inspections., • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
