Job DescriptionJob Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and timely repairs. The position may also involve working within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Install and repair pumps, motors, gear boxes, mixers, fans, valves, and conveyors., • Demonstrate working knowledge of pneumatic controls., • Conduct small equipment repairs., • Perform pipefitting for installations, repairs, and maintenance of steam, water, drain, and air lines., • Utilize welding machines, cutting torches, hand tools, and both large and small power tools., • Read and interpret blueprints, hand sketches, and graphs., • Specify replacement parts to enhance reliability of equipment, machinery, and systems., • Work overtime as needed., • Work independently and manage assignments in a timely, cost-effective manner., • Adhere to regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, and instructions., • Troubleshooting, • Mechanical skills, • Preventive maintenance, • Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Industrial Mechanic, • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, • Ability to handle heavy lifting, • Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification, • 3+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial environment, • Mechanical and technical aptitude, • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively, • High School Diploma, • 2-year degree or related vocational/apprentice education preferred Join a dynamic team committed to excellence and growth. Work Environment Work in a non-climate controlled industrial production environment with exposure to hot and cold conditions, as well as dusty materials such as chocolate and licorice. The role involves utilizing forklifts to move products throughout the facility, and working with batch mixers and racking systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
