We are currently recruiting a Head of Finance, Administration and Service for our client KASTO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, a family-owned German industrial manufacturer with a strong international presence in metal sawing machines, automated storage systems, and material handling solutions. This role carries full operational and administrative responsibility for KASTO’s French subsidiary, with oversight of France and future expansion into additional Southern European markets. Position Summary The Head of Finance, Administration and Service KASTO France is a key leadership role responsible for the overall administrative and service performance of the French subsidiary. This position combines strategic branch leadership with hands-on responsibility for finance, legal oversight, HR processes, service structures, and operational excellence. The role serves as the senior commercial and legal representative of the subsidiary, ensuring strong customer relationships, regional business stability, and close strategic alignment with KASTO headquarters in Germany. This individual will work in close partnership with the Head of Sales KASTO France while overseeing all finance, administration, service, compliance, and contractual matters. The successful candidate will bring strong financial leadership, subsidiary or branch management experience, legal and contractual expertise, and the ability to further professionalize and optimize the French organization. Why This Role Is Attractive • Branch leadership role with broad P&L responsibility for an established French subsidiary, • High-impact position with direct influence on operational restructuring, organizational development, and regional expansion, • Stable, family-owned industrial company with strong long-term orientation, • Opportunity to modernize structures and bring new leadership to a well-established but evolving organization Main Responsibilities • Hold full P&L responsibility for KASTO France, • Lead all finance, controlling, administration, HR, and service functions of the subsidiary, • Ensure proper legal, contractual, and compliance management across customer, supplier, employment, and insurance agreements, • Oversee payment approvals, financial governance, budgeting, and local controlling processes, • Manage and further develop the local service organization, including workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and organizational restructuring, • Lead 15 employees across finance, service, administration, and HR, • Act as final escalation point for contractual disputes, labor law matters, legal cases, and operational challenges, • Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales KASTO France on pricing strategy, market development, and customer management, • Maintain and strengthen relationships with major customers, regional stakeholders, and strategic partners, • Ensure compliance with French labor regulations and oversee international workforce coordination when German employees operate in France, • Improve subsidiary structures, processes, governance, and alignment with German headquarters, • Support strategic projects and system implementation while ensuring smooth regional project execution, • Provide regular reporting, strategic recommendations, and operational transparency directly to KASTO ownership and executive leadership Candidate Profile • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or comparable commercial education; Master’s preferred, • Strong finance leadership background is essential, ideally including subsidiary or regional leadership, • Proven experience in finance, controlling, administration, and HR within industrial, machinery, engineering services, or capital equipment environments, • Experience with legal, contractual, and compliance oversight in medium-sized industrial organizations, • Strong understanding of service organizations and operational structures, • Strong leadership skills with the ability to stabilize, restructure, and develop teams, • Excellent strategic, analytical, and organizational capabilities, • Strong contractual understanding and negotiation capabilities, • Ability to work closely with both French teams and German executive leadership, • Structured, collaborative, and pragmatic leadership style, • Native-level French and fluent English or German required Company Profile KASTO is a long-established, family-owned European industrial machinery manufacturer with a global footprint and approx. 700 employees worldwide.
