Risk Graduate - Slough Purpose of the Role We are seeking a motivated and analytical Risk Graduate to support the Head of Risk across a broad range of responsibilities. This role offers excellent exposure to enterprise-wide risk management, including project work, risk register development, and second-line controls within an Enterprise Risk Management Framework. You will play a key role in maintaining robust risk standards while contributing to the organisation’s vision and values. Key Responsibilities • Assist in identifying, measuring, and monitoring risks across the business, working closely with key stakeholders, • Perform quarterly second-line controls and support first-line teams in developing action plans to mitigate identified risks, • Attend and contribute to cross-functional meetings to gain insight into different business areas, • Conduct research and analysis on risk-related topics using tools such as Microsoft Excel and SAP Business Objects, • Support ad-hoc and recurring projects, including segregation of duties analysis and operational risk mapping, • Collaborate with international stakeholders on emerging risk management techniques and regulatory requirements, • Complete assigned tasks within agreed deadlines and maintain high-quality standards, • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity Skills and Competencies • Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively, • Confident in making independent decisions when required, • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to map processes, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements, • Ability to work towards and achieve performance targets Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications • Degree (2:1 or above) in a numerate discipline such as Business, Economics, Finance, or similar, • Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken), • A keen interest in risk management and financial services
