We are hiring a Global Social Media Strategy Lead to shape and scale social media excellence across a global portfolio of brands. This is a senior, strategic role focused on defining the global social media operating model, driving brand consistency, performance, and compliance, and enabling markets to deliver high-quality, social-first work at scale. You will work closely with global brand teams, regional hubs, local markets, and agency partners to optimise owned social media activity, maximise return on investment, and minimise brand and compliance risks within a highly regulated category. The role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, governance, performance management, and cross-functional influence. Key Responsibilities • Define, implement, and continuously improve global social media best practices and operational standards across brands., • Own and evolve the global social media operating model, identifying opportunities to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and performance., • Establish and govern brand guardrails to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality execution across all social channels and markets., • Ensure all social and digital assets adhere to marketing, legal, and compliance standards., • Partner with markets and agencies to drive adoption of social-first tools, platforms, and ways of working rooted in consumer insight and data., • Enable collaboration and knowledge sharing through a global community of practice, scaling best-in-class social execution., • Optimise brand visibility and discoverability across social platforms and evolving shopper journeys., • Track, measure, and report on social performance, using data to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decisions. Skills & Experience • 7+ years’ experience in social media, digital, or marketing roles, ideally within FMCG, CPG, or regulated consumer categories., • Strong understanding of the digital and social ecosystem, with experience working across multiple platforms and markets., • Proven ability to set strategy, governance, and standards at a global or regional level., • Highly data-driven, with a strong focus on performance measurement and optimisation., • Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex topics and influence senior stakeholders., • Experienced in managing multiple priorities within fast-paced, matrixed environments., • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable leading through influence rather than authority.
