This role exists to to support our purchasing team and you will be responsible for ordering stock, managing supplier deliveries, and helping to ensure materials arrive on time. This opportunity would suit someone looking to start a career in buying, planning, or supply chain looking to join a stable, international engineering business with long-term growth plans. \n \n What You’ll Be Doing \n\n • Ensure purchasing requirements are fulfilled on time and in line with production and customer demand, raising and managing purchase orders through NetSuite.\n, • Maintain reliable supplier delivery performance by proactively managing order confirmations, delivery dates and outstanding requirements.\n, • Support continuity of production and customer supply by identifying potential shortages, delays and supply risks early and taking appropriate action.\n, • Effectively manage purchasing requirements through the company’s MRP system, ensuring demand, stock requirements and purchase orders are accurately reflected.\n, • Maintain appropriate stock availability by monitoring inventory levels, identifying emerging shortages and escalating risks where required.\n, • Ensure purchasing data and records remain accurate and up to date, providing reliable information for purchasing, planning and operational decision-making.\n, • Resolve supplier and delivery issues promptly by working collaboratively with suppliers, Buyers, Production, Planning and other internal teams.\n, • Support the Material Manager in delivering effective day-to-day purchasing and planning, contributing to reliable supply, accurate information and the achievement of operational requirements.\n\n \n What We’re Looking For \n Essential \n\n • Good numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately with data, quantities and dates.\n, • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\n, • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Previous experience in a purchasing, buying, material planning or supply chain role.\n, • Experience using an ERP/MRP system; experience of Oracle NetSuite would be advantageous.\n, • Experience of working within a manufacturing, engineering or product-based environment.\n, • Experience of raising purchase orders and managing supplier delivery requirements.\n\n \n Working Pattern & Travel \n Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with one day per week working from home. \n \n Salary: From £24,784.50 to £26,500 per annum. \n \n What We Offer \n\n • 24 days’ annual leave, increasing with length of service, plus bank holidays\n, • Festive December shutdown\n, • An additional paid day off for your birthday\n, • Competitive pension scheme with company contributions matched up to 5%\n, • Company sick pay\n, • Life assurance at 6x your annual salary\n, • Health Shield wellbeing support and health care cash plan.\n, • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering confidential advice and support\n, • Bi-annual access to an independent pensions advisor\n, • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme\n, • Cycle to Work scheme\n, • Free on-site parking\n, • Dress Down Fridays\n, • The opportunity to work for a business with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices\n\n \n Inclusion & Diversity \n Facultatieve Technologies is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, supported and able to thrive.
