    Role Overview The Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of workshop operations, from customer bookings and vehicle workflow management through to technician supervision, quality control, invoicing and compliance. Workshop Operations & Management • Oversee daily operation of MOT, servicing and repairs., • Manage workshop workflow to ensure vehicles are booked in, progressed and completed efficiently., • Allocate jobs to technicians based on workload and deadlines., • Monitor productivity, labour efficiency and turnaround times., • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices., • Carry out final quality checks where required before vehicles are returned to customers., • Identify opportunities to improve workshop processes and customer experience. Customer Service & Relationship Management • Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the repair and servicing process., • Provide professional advice regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs and recommendations., • Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnosis, costs, progress updates and completion times., • Handle customer queries, concerns and complaints professionally and promptly., • Build strong relationships with repeat customers and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction., • Ensure customers receive transparent explanations of work required and completed. Booking, Scheduling & Workflow Control • Manage all workshop bookings, MOT appointments, servicing schedules and repair jobs., • Plan daily and weekly workshop capacity., • Prioritise urgent repairs while maintaining efficient workflow., • Coordinate MOT slots, diagnostics, servicing and repair requirements., • Ensure customers are kept informed of appointment changes or delays. Estimates, Invoicing & Commercial Management • Prepare estimates and quotations for repairs and maintenance work., • Gain customer authorisation before additional work is carried out., • Manage job cards, invoices and payment processes., • Ensure accurate recording of parts, labour and additional charges., • Monitor workshop profitability and identify opportunities to improve revenue., • Work with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability of parts., • Monitor outstanding payments and support effective financial control. Health & Safety, Compliance & Standards • Ensure the workshop operates safely and complies with all relevant health and safety regulations., • Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment., • Maintain compliance with MOT standards and industry regulations., • Ensure tools, equipment and machinery are maintained and fit for purpose. Stock, Equipment & Supplier Management • Monitor workshop stock levels, consumables and commonly used parts., • Order parts and manage relationships with suppliers., • Ensure efficient use and maintenance of workshop equipment., • Manage external suppliers, recovery companies and specialist repair partners when required. Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience managing an automotive workshop., • Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics., • Experience working with technicians and managing workshop workflow., • Excellent customer service and communication skills., • Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a busy environment., • Commercial understanding of workshop operations, labour sales and profitability., • Strong organisational and administrative skills., • Ability to use workshop management systems, booking software and invoicing systems., • Previous experience within an MOT testing environment., • MOT Tester qualification is preferred., • Experience with diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle technologies.

The role Our team provide a full range of pest control services to residential and commercial property owners. We aim to complete all aspects of a job from investigation to proofing, in a humane and environmentally conscious way. As an Aspect engineer, you’ll source your own parts and materials, carry out pest removal and pest proofing, and quote for any further reinstatement work required. An effective pest proofing solution often requires further works from multiple tradespeople. Our pest control engineers will advise how to stop pest problems from recurring and utilise Aspect engineers from different trades to ensure all pest related damage is repaired and pest proofing is long-lasting. Typical issues may include damage to live wires, drain pipes, plumbing and heating pipes, and roofing. You’ll be provided with confirmed bookings that relate to your specific expertise, on a constant basis. You’ll earn for your time on-site, plus time for parts/materials collection. Typical bookings include: Rodent removal, treatment, and proofing Avian removal, treatment, and proofing Pest proofing advice and consultation Clear communication with customers is essential. You’ll be expected to provide reassurance by explaining the work you’ll do for them and sharing your knowledge. You’ll also be confident quoting for remedial work. Our bespoke software enables tradespeople to take responsibility for managing their own work rather than always relying on office-based support. You’ll be supported by office-based operational and technical field-based managers. They’ll provide advice and assistance and can arrange additional resource on jobs that escalate in size and complexity. We try to provide engineers with bookings in the same geographic area. However, you’ll be prepared to travel anywhere in and around the M25 but, due to our company expansion we will keep you as close to home as possible. You’ll be required to be on call for cyclical evening and weekend coverage. About you You’ll have at least 5 years of experience in pest control, with 1 year of both heat treatment and mouse proofing experience. Good technical knowledge of a wide range of relevant parts and materials is also required. You will hold a RSPH Level 2 Certificate in Pest Management and you’ll have experience of working in both domestic and commercial properties. You will be confident at using your knowledge and experience to recommend best practice remedial work. You’ll have excellent communication skills and experience in providing detailed scope of works and fixed price quotes. You’re prepared to go the extra mile to help a customer. You take pride in always delivering high quality work and excellent customer service. You’ll have your own hand tools; we’ll supply specialist equipment. You’ll also have a valid UK driving licence and you’ll be available to work for at least 40-hours per week.
