Business Development Manager – Network Security Location: Basingstoke Job Type: Full-Time | Predominantly Office-Based Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission Our client is an award-winning technology and cyber security specialist, they're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join its growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional with experience in IT, networking, managed services or cyber security sales who thrives in a target-driven environment and enjoys building long-term client relationships. The business supports a wide range of enterprise, public sector and mid-market organisations across sectors including financial services, retail, healthcare, logistics, education and government, helping customers improve security posture, reduce operational risk and modernise complex IT environments. Key Responsibilities: • Generate new business opportunities across existing and new customer accounts, • Build strong relationships with customers, prospects and technology partners, • Promote networking, cyber security and managed service solutions, • Conduct proactive outbound business development activity, including cold calling, • Maintain high levels of daily sales activity and pipeline generation, • Manage leads, opportunities and forecasting through CRM systems, • Support marketing campaigns and follow up on inbound engagement activity, • Prepare quotations, proposals and customer-facing documentation, • Attend customer meetings where required, • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and reporting, • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly and monthly KPI targets, • Develop strong knowledge of the company’s technology solutions and services Skills & Experience Required: • Minimum 2 years’ experience within IT, MSP, networking or cyber security sales, • Previous experience in a proactive outbound or cold-calling sales environment, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • Highly motivated with a positive and professional attitude, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, • Ability to work independently and use initiative, • Strong written communication and attention to detail, • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications, • Genuine interest in technology, networking and cyber security, • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle What’s on Offer: • Uncapped commission structure, • Clear progression opportunities into senior sales or account management roles, • Exposure to leading cyber security and networking technologies, • Supportive and collaborative sales environment, • Opportunity to work with enterprise and public sector clients, • Ongoing training and career development
