Senior Manager – Compliance Testing & Assurance Location: EMEA | London | Flexible working available The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced compliance professional to join a high-performing assurance team within a global financial services organisation. This is a senior role offering visibility, influence, and the chance to shape how compliance risks are identified, tested, and managed across a complex international business. You will lead risk-based compliance reviews, work closely with senior stakeholders, and help drive innovation in assurance through data, technology, and strong governance. What You’ll Do • Lead and deliver compliance testing and assurance reviews across wholesale banking and capital markets activities, • Help shape and execute the regional compliance assurance strategy and annual testing plan, • Manage and develop a mixed onshore/offshore team, ensuring high-quality outputs and continuous improvement, • Partner with business leaders, risk, and compliance colleagues to assess key conduct and regulatory risks, • Oversee issue tracking, reporting, and escalation to senior management, • Contribute to regulatory interactions, audits, and inspections, • Support the use of data analytics and technology to enhance assurance effectiveness What We’re Looking For • Strong experience in compliance testing, assurance, audit, or regulatory roles within financial services, • In-depth knowledge of UK financial services regulation (experience in other jurisdictions is a plus), • Proven ability to assess risk and control frameworks and deliver clear, practical assurance, • Experience leading reviews and influencing senior stakeholders, • Confident people manager with a collaborative leadership style Qualifications • Degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, • Professional qualifications or advanced degrees are advantageous but not essential
