What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it) • Designing end-to-end solutions that cross product, system and technology boundaries — which means you’ll have visibility and influence across the whole estate, not just a single team., • Acting as the go-to expert when architectural challenges arise — your technical judgement will directly shape outcomes., • Providing proposals, estimates and strategic input on new initiatives — you’ll help decide what gets built and how., • Creating and owning Solution Design documentation and securing the right approvals — your work becomes the blueprint teams follow., • Contributing to enterprise design patterns and being part of the architecture governing body — your ideas set the standards for future builds., • Supporting product enhancements throughout development and delivery — you’ll stay close to engineering, not stuck in an ivory tower., • Assisting with incidents, problem management and root cause analysis — you’ll help fix what matters and prevent repeat issues., • Encouraging continuous improvement across engineering teams — your leadership helps build better, faster, stronger systems. Hybrid working: 2 days per week in any office (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Flexible working open for discussion. What you’ll need • 5+ years as a Solution Architect across technologies such as Java/Spring, .NET, JavaScript, microservices, containers, cloud and modern databases., • Ability to assess emerging tech and understand its long-term impact., • Full lifecycle experience: design → development → test → deploy., • A talent for explaining complex technical ideas simply — to any audience., • Agile mindset (SAFe experience a bonus)., • The ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay calm in fast-moving environments., • A mix of collaboration and independence — someone who can lead but also self-drive., • Analytical thinking and a solutions-focused approach.
