Electronics Repair Technician – Medical Devices \n Theale, Berkshire | Monday to Friday | 37.5 Hours \n Are you an experienced Electronics Repair Technician with at least 3 years' UK-based industry experience in component-level electronics repair? We're looking for a skilled engineer to join a specialist medical device repair team, working on high-value diagnostic imaging equipment including MRI systems, ultrasound probes, CT/X-ray equipment, RF power amplifiers and complex electronic assemblies. \n This is an excellent opportunity to apply your fault-finding expertise in a technically challenging environment where no two repairs are the same. \n To be considered for this role you must have at least 3 years UK based industry experience, HNC/HND in Electronics/Electrical engineering. \n Role Description \n This role supports the repair, maintenance and testing of a wide range of complex medical and electronic devices, including: \n\n • MRI systems and RF coils\n, • Ultrasound probes and systems\n, • CT and X-ray systems\n, • Power supply units (PSUs) and RF power amplifiers (RFPAs)\n, • Electronic assemblies and PCB-based devices\n\n Engineers will operate within an electronics laboratory environment, performing component level diagnostics and repair, reverse engineering, and development of repair methodologies. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Troubleshoot, fault-find, and repair electronic and medical devices to component level\n, • Perform testing, calibration, and quality assurance activities\n, • Follow manufacturer procedures, schematics, and technical documentation\n, • Perform reverse engineering where schematics are unavailable\n, • Source components, parts, and repair information\n, • Maintain accurate documentation, repair records, and reports\n, • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and health & safety policies, carry out repair risk assessments\n, • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer-facing teams\n, • Develop and document new repair procedures and processes\n, • Meet daily production targets and prioritise work based on business needs\n, • Support complex diagnostics across RF, analogue, and digital systems\n, • Lead Major Healthcare Transformation Projects Across the UK\n\n Technical Scope \n Engineers may work across: \n\n • RF systems and coils\n, • PCBAs (SMT & through-hole)\n, • Analogue and digital electronics\n, • Power electronics and amplifiers\n, • Diagnostic imaging technologies\n\n Including use of: \n\n • Oscilloscopes\n, • Multimeters\n, • Signal generators\n, • Power supplies\n\n Must Have Skills \n\n • Qualification in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent (HNC/HND, Degree, Military training)\n, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n, • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings\n, • Good communication and teamwork skills\n, • High attention to detail and quality focus\n, • Proactive, inquisitive Mindset\n\n Must Have Experience \n\n • 2 years’ experience in electronic or medical device repair\n, • Experience in electronics repair and fault finding\n, • Ability to use test equipment and follow schematics\n, • Experience working on PCB/component-level repairs\n, • Experience in RF systems, MRI coils, or imaging equipment\n, • Strong troubleshooting and reverse engineering capability\n, • Ability to work independently and lead complex repairs\n\n Nice To Have Experience \n\n • MRI RF coil repair experience\n, • Ultrasound probe repair experience\n, • Mechanical workshop experience\n, • Computer-Aided Design (CAD)\n, • Experience with regulatory environments (medical de-vices)\n\n Benefits & Perks \n\n • Private healthcare\n, • Employee Assistance Programme\n, • Pension scheme & salary sacrifice options\n, • Electric car and cycle-to-work schemes\n, • Flexible, supportive work environment\n\n Apply directly or send your CV to 121 Personnel
