As Principal Project Manager, you will work closely with the Programme Deputy Head to ensure the effective management and successful delivery of projects in line with MPPs project delivery operating procedures. You will be accountable for leading the delivery of complex capital infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on performance, cost, and schedule. A key aspect of the role involves proactively managing the supply chain to ensure optimal delivery of both Life Cycle Replacement and Betterment outcomes. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to Senior Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers within your line management structure, while also offering support across the wider team. The role may also require you to deputise for the Deputy Head in reporting and governance forums. The position will operate within the MPP NADES team delivering projects for our (Navy/Air/DE&S) customer. Person specification In your day-to-day role you will undertake the following: Lead all activities associated with project delivery through overall management, co-ordination and direction of both internal and external resources Provide leadership for stakeholder management leading engagement with the most important and influential internal and external partners and negotiating key outcomes in support of DIO delivery Direct delivery in collaboration with Users and Industry utilising effective contract management to assure that the output delivered meets the defined requirement within funding and time parameters and in pursuit of Value for Money Run budget and resources ensuring appropriate financial management for function that is aligned with MOD policy and DIO internal requirements staying within agreed tolerance of delegated budget Work with the client engineering/ technical teams to proactively support projects Provide advice to the delivery teams and wider DIO affected by technical issues arising from consultants or Contractors including those affecting commercial, schedule, risk and cost Inspire, empower and engage with staff to deliver a customer focused organisation.
