Job Title: Security Engineer Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: The Wiggett Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Engineer to oversee planned works, repairs, maintenance, and reactive works for security systems across our social housing contracts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our properties by installing, servicing, and maintaining security systems, including intercoms, access control, CCTV, and intruder alarms. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out planned installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, including intercoms, access control, Door Entry Systems, and CCTV., • Diagnose and rectify faults in security systems as part of reactive maintenance., • Respond to emergency call-outs to troubleshoot and repair faulty security equipment., • Ensure all works comply with current industry regulations and health & safety standards., • Conduct system testing and commissioning following installation or repairs., • Provide technical advice and support to clients and colleagues., • Maintain accurate records and reports on completed works., • Work closely with other engineers and site teams to coordinate work schedules effectively., • Stay updated on new security technologies and industry best practices. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Security Engineer, with expertise in intercoms, access control, Door Entry Systems, and CCTV., • Strong background in fault-finding, reactive repairs, and installation., • Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail., • Strong communication and customer service skills., • A valid UK driving license, • Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, FIA, or equivalent certifications in security systems) are desirable.
