1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. Year 6. Part time mornings Some pupils need someone who understands when their focus is slipping and knows how to bring them back gently. In this part time role, youll support a Year 6 boy with autism whos also being assessed for ADHD. His interests, especially trains and certain games, can be great starting points for building engagement. About the Role Youll support him each morning, helping him move through routines, reduce overwhelm, and stay settled during lessons. Clear instructions and predictable strategies work well, and your calm presence will help him feel secure. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 classroom support three mornings per week. Help with transitions, task initiation, and reducing overwhelm. Use structured approaches to maintain focus. Model calm communication and simple regulation strategies. Work with the teacher and SENCO on consistent daily approaches. What Were Looking For Experience supporting children with autism or ADHD. Patience and confidence working with older primary pupils. Ability to simplify tasks and reduce distractions. Availability on Monday, Thursday, and Friday until 1.15pm. What We Offer Long term, predictable hours.
