We're looking for someone experienced to take charge of our bookings, sales and marketing. You'll need to be confident using the Collins booking system, have a good eye for detail and be comfortable dealing with guests, large group enquiries and private hires. The role also includes supporting with local marketing, social media and growing our presence in the area. You’ll be part of a close-knit management team and play a key part in driving sales and building strong local relationships. We are looking for Commis Waiters to join our Duck and Rice Team. The Role The Commis Waiter primary role is to act as a seamless connection between floor and kitchen. They provide support and assistance as and when needed, even before it is requested, and may assist with table service. Skills and Experience requirement for Commis: The ideal candidate will have at least one year experience working as a Food Runner, in a well-established restaurant, private members club or comparable establishment. Asian cuisine knowledge is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities • Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening/closing procedures., • Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction., • Supervise and motivate front-of-house (FOH) and/or back-of-house (BOH) teams., • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly., • Assist in staff training, development, and performance reviews., • Monitor and manage stock levels, orders, and deliveries., • Ensure health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations are followed., • Help manage labour costs, rota scheduling, and payroll inputs., • Drive sales and assist in achieving revenue and profitability goals., • Cover the manager’s responsibilities in their absence.
