We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water – Maple Lodge STW team based in Rickmansworth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a major water infrastructure upgrade project, supporting and deputising for the Commercial Manager. You'll lead day-to-day commercial management of key packages, ensuring robust cost control, supply chain management, and accurate reporting. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering all commercial and contractual responsibilities on this major project. Your day to day will include: • Managing the commercial and financial aspects of allocated works packages, ensuring adherence to contract terms and internal governance, • Preparing and maintaining detailed cost forecasts, cashflow projections, and variance analyses with accurate and timely reporting, • Leading change management processes including valuation, justification, and agreement of variations, • Managing procurement and administration of subcontract packages from tender enquiry through to final account settlement, • Providing guidance and technical support to Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs, reviewing their outputs and supporting their development What are we looking for? The role is responsible for frontline Duty Technician as and when required in response to the day-to-day technical needs of the attraction. Experience of working with installed audio-visual show systems and fault finding and trouble shooting on these as required. Basic carpentry and maintenance skills and a good working knowledge of workshop environments. Previous experience of working in an operational and customer facing environment where there are significant numbers of the general public on site. Proven IT skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated packages. Basic knowledge of I.T switch networks and I.P based control systems. Working Pattern This is a twelve month fixed term contract full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week. The role operates on a flexible rota, including a mix of early, mid, and late shifts. About Stora Stora is building the operating platform for modern self-storage businesses. Our software helps operators manage bookings, payments, customers, facilities and day-to-day operations from one place, while automating much of the work that traditionally makes running a self-storage business unnecessarily complicated.
