This is a strategic leadership position combining technical expertise with project oversight, ensuring MEP systems are safely designed, installed, commissioned, and handed over to meet quality, sustainability, and client requirements.\n\n What’s on Offer\nOpportunity to manage high-profile, large-scale construction projects.\nLeadership of multidisciplinary teams with responsibility for technical, commercial, and operational outcomes.\nCompetitive compensation package with career development opportunities.\nExposure to innovative systems, sustainability initiatives, and emerging construction technologies.Ideal Candidate\nProven experience managing large-scale, complex MEP projects.\nStrong understanding of the MEP supply chain and market dynamics.\nDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.\nTechnical expertise across the full project lifecycle: estimating, pre-construction, installation, commissioning, and handover.\nCommercial and contractual awareness.\nCommitment to health, safety, quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.Qualifications / Desirable Attributes:\n\nDegree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related technical discipline).\nMembership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CIBSE, CIOB, Engineers Ireland, or equivalent).\nHealth & Safety management training (e.g., IOSH).\nExperience with project planning and management.\nSpecialist training in live energies / arc flash or equivalent.\nAdvanced qualifications (higher diploma or master’s degree) and chartered status are advantageous.\nFamiliarity with BIM, digital construction, or emerging technologies is desirable.Key Responsibilities\nProvide leadership, technical guidance, and direction for the delivery of MEP systems.\nOversee all aspects of project delivery, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.\nManage tendering, procurement, and award of MEP packages in line with business and contractual requirements.\nEnsure seamless integration of MEP works into overall project programmes.\nCoordinate with utility providers and key stakeholders to meet interface requirements.\nReview, approve, and manage coordinated drawings and builder’s work requirements.\nTrack equipment and plant through procurement, delivery, installation, and testing.\nIdentify and mitigate programme, contractual, and commercial risks proactively.\nEnsure compliance with quality management systems, inspections, snagging, and progressive sign-off of installations.\nOversee the safe management of live energy systems in accordance with statutory and company standards.\nDevelop and implement inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover plans.\nMentor and develop junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and learning.\nPromote strong client, consultant, and supply chain relationships.\nEnsure preparation of safety files and support soft landings processes.\n\nV7 Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer and does not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
