Security Systems Specialist Full time, Permanent Location – Selby or Glasgow, with travel to other locations as required About the role: Reporting to the Security Systems Manager, the Security Systems Specialist will play a key role in maintaining, fault finding, optimising, and upgrading the wider Drax security systems infrastructure. This includes ensuring the effective operation of CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, and associated security technologies across all Drax sites in the UK and overseas. As a Security Systems Specialist, you’ll work proactively to identify vulnerabilities, support system resilience, and implement improvements that enhance overall security performance. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and contractors to deliver a stable, secure, and future ready security platform that supports both operational needs and regulatory requirements. This role will require travel to sites throughout the UK as required, and there may be times where you’ll be working away from home. Additionally, you’ll be required to be on-call 1 week in every 4, as the team provides 24/7 support. In return you’ll receive an on-call allowance as part of the package on offer.
