    Evening Receptionist – Job Description Working Hours: • Monday: 1:30pm–7:00pm, • Tuesday: 1:00pm–7:00pm, • Wednesday: 1:30pm–7:00pm, • Thursday: 1:30pm–6:30pm, • Friday: 1:30pm–7:00pm Location: 9–11 Wrottesley Road, London, NW10 5UY Line Manager: Operations Manager Main Purpose of the Role • Provide a friendly, professional and helpful service to patients and visitors., • Answer calls, deal with enquiries and direct patients to the appropriate service., • Book appointments, process registrations and take home-visit requests., • Pass messages accurately to doctors and other team members., • Process prescriptions and other administrative tasks., • Update and record information on EMIS accurately., • Respond to patient tasks, emails and requests in a timely manner., • Scan and file patient documents and correspondence., • Contact hospitals and other healthcare services when required., • Keep the reception area and consulting rooms clean, tidy and ready for use., • Complete evening closing duties and ensure the building is secure., • Work well with colleagues and provide cover when required., • Follow all practice policies on confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, equality and diversity., • Attend required meetings, training and development sessions., • Report any concerns, risks or problems to the manager., • Manage your own workload and complete tasks accurately and on time., • Support the team and suggest improvements where appropriate. Skills & Qualities Required • Excellent communication and customer service skills., • Friendly, polite and professional manner., • Good telephone and listening skills., • Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems., • Good organisation and time-management skills., • Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail., • Ability to work calmly under pressure., • Ability to prioritise and manage workload., • Good team-working skills, with the ability to work independently., • Reliable, responsible and punctual., • Respectful and non-judgemental approach to patients., • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately., • Willingness to learn and take part in training., • Previous GP surgery or NHS reception experience is desirable.     ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - If you have Sage 50 Cloud experience, a strong background in accounting, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, we would love to hear from you. Our client, a leading specialist in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects, is seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team. This role will have a strong focus on Sales Ledger, while also supporting the wider finance function including Purchase Ledger, payroll administration and month-end processes. Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities: • Accounts Processing: Handle all aspects of day-to-day accounting, including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management., • Sage 50 Cloud Expertise: Utilise Sage 50 Cloud to manage and record transactions, run reports, and maintain accurate financial records., • Invoicing and Payments: Process sales and purchase invoices, track payments, and ensure accuracy in supplier and customer accounts., • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC requirements., • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports., • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts regularly and ensure accurate financial reporting., • Payroll Support: Provide support in payroll and related processes as required., • Project Support: Work closely with the project management team to track costs, ensure accurate project invoicing, and maintain up-to-date financial records for ongoing M&E projects., • Ad Hoc Financial Tasks: Assist with various other accounting and administrative duties as needed, including filing, reporting, and responding to accounts-related queries. Accounts Assistant Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, ideally with 2-3 years in a similar role., • Strong experience using Sage 50 Cloud for financial transactions, reporting, and reconciliation., • AAT, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification (or working towards)., • Experience with M&E project-based accounting would be a plus., • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment., • High attention to detail with a methodical approach to work and problem-solving., • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications., • Excellent communication skills for liaising with both internal teams and external clients/suppliers., • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently., • A proactive and positive attitude towards tasks and challenges.
