Head Chef Smoke BBQ Carryduff Up to £36,000 + Tips | Approx. 40 Hours | 2 Days Off | Weekends Off Through Prep Rotation Smoke BBQ Carryduff is looking for a Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen and manage an established team of 5 chefs. We know Head Chef jobs can often mean long weeks, constant late finishes and giving up every weekend. Thats not what were offering. Our kitchen is structured around an approx. 40-hour working week with 2 days off , and prep shifts are rotated through the kitchen team meaning you'll also get weekends off as part of the prep rotation . Tips are also shared pro rata across the team , on top of your salary. The Job We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the kitchen, lead the team and make sure we're consistently putting out great food. You'll be responsible for: Leading and motivating our team of 5 chefs Running organised, efficient services Maintaining food quality and consistency Managing prep and kitchen organisation Stock control and ordering Controlling waste and food costs Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards Organising the team and rota Training and developing chefs Helping us continue to improve what we do This is a hands-on Head Chef position . We want someone who enjoys being part of the kitchen, can lead from the front and creates a good working environment around them. Who We're Looking For You might already be an experienced Head Chef looking for a better work-life balance. Or you could be a strong Sous Chef who's ready to step up and run your own kitchen . We're more interested in finding the right person than simply finding someone with Head Chef already written on their CV. You'll need to be: A strong and confident chef Organised and reliable Comfortable leading a team Calm under pressure Serious about food quality and consistency Able to manage stock, waste and kitchen costs Someone who takes pride in their kitchen and their team Experience with BBQ, smoking or live-fire cooking would be a bonus, but it's not essential if you've got strong kitchen fundamentals and you're willing to learn.
