We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our busy pub kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, freshly prepared dishes. This is a hands-on role in a relaxed but fast-paced environment, perfect for someone who enjoys classic pub food with a modern touch. You’ll be working as part of a small, friendly team where everyone pitches in, and your input will be valued. Responsibilities • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, • Prepare and cook fresh, quality pub dishes to a consistent standard, • Ensure smooth service during busy periods, • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety, • Assist with stock control and ordering when required, • Contribute ideas for specials and menu improvements Requirements • Ideally 3+ years’ experience in a kitchen environment, however any previous experience will be taken into account, • Experience in pub or casual dining preferred, • Ability to stay organised and calm during busy service, • Strong team player with a good work ethic, • Must be able to drive due to limited public transport in the area What We Offer • Salary negotiable, depending on previous experience, • A friendly, supportive team environment, • Discounted food, • On-site parking, • Real opportunities for career progression as the business grows
