Children's Residential Support Worker £28,900 – £32,000 per annum 2 on 4 off rota - all shifts include a sleep in Are you passionate about making a real and lasting difference in the lives of children and young people? We’re looking for dedicated and resilient Children's Residential Support Worker to join our caring and committed team at a children’s residential home in Stoke on Trent. This is more than just a job — it's a chance to build meaningful relationships, provide stability, and help shape brighter futures for young people aged 8–16 who may have experienced trauma, emotional or behavioural challenges. About the Role: As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you’ll be an essential part of a supportive and structured environment, helping young people feel safe, valued, and empowered. You’ll be there through daily routines, challenging moments, and everything in between — always leading with care, consistency, and compassion. Rota: • 2 on 4 off rolling rota, • Every shift includes a sleep in, • Stable and consistent rota pattern for a great work-life balance Key Responsibilities: • Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted adult for young people, • Supporting children with daily routines, activities, and emotional wellbeing, • Promoting independence, life skills, and positive behaviour, • Recording accurate logs, reports, and contributing to care planning, • Collaborating with your team and professionals to ensure high-quality care What We’re Looking For: • Experience working with children or young people (residential experience desirable), • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it), • Compassionate, reliable, and confident in challenging situations, • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills, • Full UK Driving Licence (essential) What We Offer: • Competitive salary: £28,900 – £32,000 per year, • Consistent, predictable rota for a better work-life balance, • Ongoing training and development opportunities, • Supportive and experienced team environment, • Clear pathways for progression and growth, • Access to wellbeing resources and employee perks If you’re ready to play a meaningful role in helping young people heal, grow and succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
