Responsibilities: • Partner with CAD Director and Design to drive and develop new print collection for each delivery per season., • Create Original Artwork (prints & embroideries) for Dresses & separates., • Create multiple colorways of prints to fit into seasonal color stories., • Scanning and cleaning purchased prints and vintage artwork, color matching, putting prints into repeat, and color reducing artwork for production., • Rework print layouts to fit garment patterns for production orders., • Communicate back and forth with overseas mills regarding artworks for development, • Track all artwork developed within CAD department., • Interpret seasonal fashion direction and merchandise trends as appropriate for the brand., • Understand how the customer is responding to trends by reviewing selling and creating new and updated prints that support your research., • Minimum 5+ years of experience in women’s apparel specifically in the Print/Textile /CAD departments., • Strong color & print sense., • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal., • Strong organization and communication skills., • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask., • Technical knowledge of fabric construction., • Strong understanding of print layouts and building repeats., • Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, and Microsoft Office suite. The annual salary range for this full-time position is dependent upon experience between $85,000-$100,000. THE ROLE: Assistant Designer, Sportswear This role is ideal for someone early in their fashion career who’s eager to learn, support senior designers, and contribute to the full design process—from concept through production. The Assistant Designer will work closely with the Design Director on the development of the line. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the design and development of women’s sportswear from concept to production, • Support in building design boards, sketching flats, and updating tech packs, • Help organize and maintain design sheets and seasonal line plans, • Research trends, colors, and materials relevant to the active and sportswear market, • Source fabrics, trims, and prints from vendors with guidance from the senior design team, • Assist in sample development by preparing materials and tracking sample progress, • Set up new styles with updated fabrics and prints for sampling (in our house sample room), • Creating cad decks for sales with notes from buyers., • Input sample data into asset manager, • Minimum 2+ years of fashion industry experience (internships count!) preferably in sportswear or active categories, • Must have experience in cut and sew, wovens, and knits, • Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred, • Basic understanding of garment construction and patterns, • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of Procreate a plus, • Familiarity with tech packs and PLM systems (Exenta knowledge is a bonus), • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to sketch flats and design concepts digitally, • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-first mindset, • Portfolio required (student or professional work welcome) The salary range for this full-time role is dependent upon experience between $50,000 -$55,000.
