Under the direction of the Director of Sales, our Sales Specialist for Craft and Spirit Brands will collaborate with the PBC Sales Team to increase revenue and expand distribution of key brands in the Craft, Spirit, Flavored Malt Beverage (FMB), Wine, and Non-Alcoholic PBC portfolio. Implement assigned, targeted initiatives across product distribution, revenue growth, cold box management, and product sampling to support the ongoing development of the PBC portfolio. Brand Directors will create initiatives and target account bases in partnership with the Branch Sales Manager. These initiatives will be communicated through monthly scorecards (targeting 25-30% of compensation). Specialists will work with Branch Sales Managers to develop weekly activity calendars Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: · Support and supplement PBC Sales Team with regularly scheduled sales calls on key retailers; majority of sales calls will be in the Off Premise Small Format & On-Premise channels · Collaborate with PBC Sales Team and Branch Sales Manager to achieve new distribution and revenue growth in assigned account base · Educate, implement and support retailer adoption of the BEES digital ordering platform · Develop in-depth product knowledge of PBC product portfolio ·Participate in Supplier Sales Personnel “ride-withs” with the goal of expanding distribution on key growth brands (Approximately 20% of time) Off Premise Small Format (Approximately 40% of time) · Execute new product distribution as assigned by Brand Directors and Branch Sales Managers · Assist with placement of new distribution in collaboration with Team Leaders and Sales Reps • Work in conjunction with the PBC Sales Team to evaluate, develop, and implement account-specific strategies to optimize product mix, product pricing, and cold box management to achieve new distribution and revenue growth On Premise (Approximately 40% of time) • Execute new product distribution and support both new products sold with best-in-class selling efforts (i.e., pricing features, drink menu placement, banners, branded glassware, LEDs, up-to-date tap handles, etc.), • Prepare and execute “wet” samplings to assist your selling efforts of the PBC portfolio with key retailers and consumers; sampling can be in collaboration with supplier personnel as scheduled in coordination with the Brand Director and the Branch Sales Manager. Availability in late afternoon or early evening may be necessary from time to time to conduct product samplings with key On Premise decision makers, • Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no initial supervisory responsibilities, although the position may direct the efforts of outside agency personnel. Computer & Language Skills Demonstrated ability to use computer entry systems to obtain account information and place an order. Working knowledge of PC and MAC platforms, in addition to the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical & Reasoning Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margins, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid California driver's license and driving record in accordance with the company-established guidelines.
