Senior Electrical Project Manager The Senior Electrical Project Manager oversees planning, coordination, and execution of large commercial electrical construction projects from inception through completion. The role ensures all client requirements for electrical functionality, standards, and performance are met, while maintaining schedule, safety, quality, and budget. The Senior Electrical Project Manager manages the full electrical bidding process, including distributing bid documents, answering bidder questions, issuing addenda, evaluating proposals, and negotiating final contracts. During construction, the Senior Electrical Project Manager must have strong knowledge of electrical trades, materials, equipment, and installation methods. The role identifies potential issues early, manages electrical change orders, and ensures all scope changes are handled fairly and accurately. This position provides direct oversight of the project, ensuring electrical work is installed per plans and specifications, quality and safety standards are maintained, and all deliverables are met. The Senior Electrical Project Manager monitors daily progress, supports field leadership, ensures compliance, and reports project status to company leadership. Projects are commercial in nature and require strong command of electrical construction operations. Core Responsibilities Planning and Coordination • Plan, direct, and coordinate all electrical construction activities, • Lead full project life cycle for large electrical projects, • Schedule and coordinate electrical design requirements, • Select sources for electrical materials and equipment, • Develop accurate schedules and project documentation, • Hire and oversee subcontractors for electrical scopes Construction Oversight • Manage electrical work performed on project., • Ensure work meets plans, specs, standards, and regulatory requirements, • Oversee material, tool, and equipment delivery and management, • Enforce safety plans and jobsite health requirements, • Verify all licenses, permits, and inspections are completed Financial Management • Maintain oversight of labor, materials, and subcontractor costs, • Track material purchases, labor hours, and payments, • Support accurate billing, procurement, and cost control Quality, Safety, and Compliance • Verify all electrical installations meet quality and code requirements, • Enforce safety rules and regulatory compliance, • Coordinate with inspectors and agencies on electrical code matters Field Leadership • Organize crews and drive accountability for productivity and performance, • Support planning, troubleshooting, and coordination, • Ensure subcontractors deliver work on time and within scope, • Perform ongoing inspections for quality and safety Skills and Specifications • Strong supervisory and leadership ability, • Ability to schedule, coordinate, and manage multiple tasks, • Deep knowledge of electrical construction practices, • Effective problem-solving and decision-making, • Strong communication and attention to detail, • Proficiency with construction-related software Experience • 10+ years of construction project management experience, • Proven success managing projects above $40 million dollars, • Experience leading large-scale commercial and/or data center projects Education • High School Diploma or equivalent required, • Degree in Construction Management or Project Management preferred, • Equivalent field experience accepted Software Proficiency • Microsoft Office, • Microsoft Project, • Bluebeam, • Accubid, • Procore This job description outlines the primary duties and requirements of the role.
