We're looking for a highly skilled and strategic Bidding Producer to own the full budgeting and bidding process across all commercial, music video, and activation production opportunities. In this role, you'll be the financial architect behind every pitch, transforming creative briefs and director treatments into accurate, competitive production budgets that win work while achieving directors’ creative aspirations while protecting our margins. Position Summary: The Bidding Producer is responsible for creating accurate union and non-union commercial production budgets, managing high-volume bid requests, and optimizing working budgets to maximize profitability. You'll need deep expertise in domestic and international production markets, the ability to rapidly develop and revise multiple budgets weekly, and the strategic insight to know where to find savings without compromising creative vision. This role requires mastery of Showbiz budgeting software, strong production skills, and the confidence to make quick, informed decisions about cost optimization. You'll work closely with executive producers, line producers, and international production partners to ensure our bids are competitive, accurate, and designed to hit target margins on every awarded project. Nine years later we are an award-winning studio that has produced over 500 campaigns, we mainly operate in the branded content space for top brands like Samsung, Liquid I.V., and Turo. Responsibilities: • Create accurate union and non-union commercial production budgets in Showbiz for pitch opportunities., • Efficiently break down agency briefs and director treatments into streamlined production approaches that balance creative vision with financial feasibility., • Develop multiple bids weekly, consistently balancing speed and precision when creating and revising budgets under tight turnaround., • Execute first-pass budgets, revise other producers' budgets, or adjust specific line item subsets as needed, seamlessly navigating Showbiz to deliver against all requests., • Draft client-facing bid letters and production calendars, accurately summarizing project deliverables, production approach, key client milestones, and creative assumptions into comprehensive formal proposals., • Create domestic bids and work with international production partners to source service bids that accurately reflect local costs across key markets including LA, NY, TX, FL, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Colombia, and Eastern Europe., • Flag major financial impacts early in the bid process, ensuring leadership has visibility into cost risks before commitments are made., • Stay current on crew rates, vendor pricing, and production costs to ensure bids remain competitive and in line with proposed budget targets., • Benchmark against industry standards and past project performance to maintain pricing accuracy and competitive positioning., • Pivot rapidly when client budgets change or treatments evolve, revising bids to present new, viable production solutions on tight turnarounds., • Effectively negotiate with vendors and crew to find savings without sacrificing the director's creative vision., • Maintain underages on working budgets by expertly managing costs throughout the production lifecycle. Results: • Deliver strategically efficient bids and budgets, identifying smart ways to allocate production spend without sacrificing the director's vision., • Delivers highly accurate bids on time, every time, ensuring the proposal submission pipeline never stalls, even when juggling a high volume of concurrent projects., • Eliminates unexpected overages by accurately forecasting union and non-union costs and flagging regional or international financial impacts early in the bidding phase., • Pivots rapidly when client budgets change or treatments evolve, revising to present new, viable production solutions on tight turnarounds., • Keeps the company highly competitive by leveraging unique production solutions to creative challenges, and ensuring our numbers are consistently accurate, trusted by agencies, and competitive enough to win jobs. Benefits + Perks: • Medical, Vision, Dental Benefits with portion covered by company, • 401k with employer match, • PTO Policy, • WFH Fridays, • Monday and Friday in-office lunches supplied by company, • Team Outings, • Summer Fridays, • $120,000 - $140,000 (Salary + Incentives) Requirements • 5+ years of experience as a line producer, production manager, and/or bidding producer in commercial production., • Expert-level proficiency in Showbiz budgeting software with the ability to rapidly build, revise, and optimize budgets., • Deep expertise in domestic and international productions with knowledge of local crew rates, vendor costs, and production nuances., • Proven track record of creating accurate union and non-union budgets across a high volume of concurrent projects., • Strong understanding of commercial production workflows, crew structures, equipment costs, and vendor relationships., • Ability to break down creative treatments and identify the most efficient production approach without compromising creative quality., • Strategic thinker who can identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks early in the bidding process., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with executive producers, directors, and international production partners., • Comfortable working under tight deadlines (think 1-2 day turnovers for budgets) and adapting quickly to changing client budgets or creative direction., • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to benchmark against industry standards. Location & Availability: Remote or Hybrid (Los Angeles preferred) - If based in Los Angeles, this role is in-office with WFH Fridays.
