Job DescriptionLHH is actively seeking a business Operations Professional for one of our top clients in McLean. This will be a contract to hire opportunity with our client and will report onsite to their office in McLean. About the Team The Quality Control (QC) team ensures that loans sold to Freddie Mac (FM) meet all applicable Selling Guide requirements and contractual obligations. The team is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and governing QC policies and procedures across multiple functional areas. The Underwriting group is the largest segment within QC, reviewing thousands of loans each month to validate compliance with FM requirements and specific contract terms. Due to the volume and breadth of documentation, the team is expanding to support ongoing documentation updates and governance needs. Why This Role Is Open Quality Control supports four distinct functional areas, each with its own policies, procedures, and job aids, including Underwriting, Central Processing, and Remedy Management. As documentation continues to grow in scope and complexity, an additional team member is needed to ensure timely updates, accuracy, and effective delivery of content to the organization. Role Overview This role blends deep mortgage origination knowledge-preferably underwriting-with advanced SharePoint expertise. The successful candidate will support the creation, management, and delivery of QC policies and procedures, serving as the bridge between business subject matter experts and the technical SharePoint environment used to publish and govern documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working behind the scenes in SharePoint (building libraries, lists, pages, and views) while also writing clear, user-friendly documentation and communications for Quality Control audiences. Key Responsibilities • Create, update, and maintain Quality Control documentation, including policies, procedures, job aids, and tools., • Manage and administer SharePoint sites for Quality Control teams, including building document libraries, SharePoint lists, custom views, and pages., • Maintain structured documentation repositories, leveraging SharePoint metadata (e.g., certification ownership, review dates) while ensuring a clean, user-friendly experience for end users., • Collaborate with subject matter experts across Quality Control to gather requirements and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance., • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions by scheduling meetings, creating agendas, documenting discussions, capturing action items, and following up to ensure completion., • Analyze issues of moderate to high complexity, applying judgment and an understanding of business trends, risk, and compliance requirements., • Support the development of communications and content delivery strategies to ensure policies and procedures are effectively published and consumed.Required Qualifications, • 3+ years of experience in mortgage origination, preferably in underwriting., • Strong understanding of end-to-end mortgage origination processes; experience as an underwriter is preferred, though loan processors or originators with full lifecycle knowledge will be considered., • Advanced experience managing and building SharePoint solutions, including document libraries, lists, metadata, views, and pages., • Solid understanding of mortgage credit risk, compliance, and quality control concepts., • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex processes into clear documentation., • Experience with process mapping and basic project management is preferred.Pay Details: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour Search managed by: Kaitlynne Hope Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
