Requirements / Qualifications Demonstrates knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques as well as the advanced techniques needed for the Sport. Demonstrates successful ability to teach enforce advocate and model appropriate behavior character traits and educational values to student athletes. Demonstrates successful ability to follow the National Federation of High Schools Coaches Code of Conduct and the California Interscholastic Federation Coaches Code of Conduct Requires Sport experience and prefer experience working with youth. Open until filled. A one-time stipend is paid out at the end of each coaching season: Fall Coaching in December Winter Coaching in March Spring Coaching in June COACH RESPONSIBILITES • Understand that academics are priority, • Be alert to your student-athletes academic performance, • Develop team rules and expectations and communicate these with team & parents, • Provide schedules for practices tournaments and games, • Communicate change in season schedule in a timely manner, • Be on time and come prepared for all practices and games, • Maintain current CPR/First Aid certificates and TB clearance, • Encourage all student-athletes to do their best, • Apply all school and team rules to all student-athletes equally, • Be professional in all actions and words, • Create a positive environment for the team, • Communicate with individual student-athletes as to their role on the team, • Clearly communicate all NFHS CIF SDUHSD Conference and team rules to student-athletes and parents, • Return parent phone calls/emails in a timely manner, • Communicate with parents as soon as possible regarding any injuries to a student-athlete in the absence of an athletic trainer, • Explain vacation/absence policy, • Allow student-athletes time away from practice to make-up tests due to athletic competition or to attend tutoring, • Off-campus walk-on coaches must turn in their keys in order to get paid, • All coaches must get permission from their Athletic Director to use district facilities out of season, • Maintain CIF HOME and MAX PREP results/stats, • Input Schedule into Arbiter if required by sport assignor Charlenne Falcis-Stevens Kari DiGiulio Requirements / Qualifications Demonstrates knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques as well as the advanced techniques needed for the Sport.
