Job Description JOB GOAL: The Residential Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining behavior analytic programming for residential clients being served at Wedgwood Christian Services. The BCBA will provide face-to-face training and supervision to direct care staff within a residential treatment program and coordinate with clinical and leadership team members to provide a holistic, trauma-informed, model of care. Client caseload will be determined by the Leadership Team and will include residents within Wedgwood’s Developmental Disability and Cognitive Impairment Unit as well as clients requiring behavioral consult within other units on Wedgwood’s campus. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design and oversee the implementation of behavioral intervention and skill acquisition programs for assigned caseload across residential settings., • Conduct initial and ongoing behavioral skills assessments and life skills assessments., • Conduct functional assessments/analyses as needed., • Develop treatment goals in collaboration with mental health therapists assigned to the client(s) that are informed by assessment results and family priorities., • Write protocols for skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals based on best available evidence and clinical judgement., • Update program goals and facilitate ongoing changes in treatment based on data., • Monitor and track clients progress in treatment and meet with treatment team to review progress and barriers., • Oversee program implementation, daily routines, and assist in establishing a therapeutic milieu., • Train, lead, and mentor direct care staff., • Assist in initial training and onboarding of new employees., • Assist in ongoing trainings and team meetings with program leadership and other Wedgwood staff who provide care to the clients., • Provide direct face-to-face training, modeling, and feedback on the milieu with direct care staff and client(s)., • Ensure paperwork, data collection, and all other related documentation requirements meet program quality and timeliness standards., • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback as required through conducting integrity assessments and clinical skills checklists., • Maintain positive working relationships with staff implementing programs and procedures., • Coordinate with home supervisors and HR to implement disciplinary measures (as necessary)., • Participate in bi-weekly meetings with direct care teams to disseminate behavior analytic trainings related to overall program goals., • Participate as a part of an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to: Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Substance Abuse Counselors, Occupational Therapists, Recreation Therapists, teachers, parents, etc. to deliver a holistic service array to meet the needs of assigned clients., • Work in collaboration with home supervisors to develop program goals that align with the residential care setting., • Coordinate with mental health therapists to determine treatment goals that meet client need and agency standards., • Provide a bridge between agency administration and program staff through awareness and communication of agency planning, policies, and procedures., • Work cooperatively with the Human Resources department in staff hiring, participating in interviews, as needed., • Represent Wedgwood professionally and ethically in all interactions as an employee., • Maintain privacy and confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and Wedgwood policies., • Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee’s roles and functions., • Maintain current BCBA certification., • Utilize educational opportunities and resources offered by the agency and through the profession for continued development of skills and clinical expertise., • Use the knowledge and skills of his/her supervisor to increase understanding of treatment programming and leadership skills to further professional development.??, • Participate in required trainings., • Acquire Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per behavior analysis certification board requirements., • Master’s degree from an accredited program, • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)., • At least one year of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders., • At least 2 years in a supervisory role., • Evidence of being able to communicate expressively and receptively.
