Duties and Responsibilities • Assist the mechanic team with installing and/or replacing boiler safety systems and components., • Assist the fabrication team with repairing leaking boiler tubes by organizing and preparing materials., • Assist with cleaning and repairing pressure vessels on heating and water systems., • Assist with preventive maintenance on boiler systems and pressure vessels., • Conform to safety standards as prescribed., • Keep the shop clean and organized during downtime, including stowing incoming materials so floor space stays clear of obstacles., • Clean, wash, and paint trailers returning to the shop when instructed., • Stay productively engaged with work tasks; ask when unsure what to work on next., • Refrain from using cell phones for personal reasons during work hours, outside of emergency situations., • Wear appropriate PPE for the given task without needing to be reminded., • Perform other tasks related to the position, as assigned.
