Job DescriptionDescription: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and uniforms are properly cleaned, pressed, and organized. This role involves operating laundry equipment, sorting and folding items, and maintaining cleanliness and inventory in the laundry area to support smooth hotel operations. Responsibilities & Duties • Load and unload washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment., • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and uniforms., • Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and serviceability., • Separate and send damaged items for repair., • Maintain inventory of linens and uniforms; conduct periodic counts., • Issue linens and uniforms on a clean-for-soiled basis., • Organize and store laundered items systematically., • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area., • Report low stock levels and assist with ordering supplies., • Follow hotel policies and safety procedures., • Attention to detail, • Ability to follow instructions, • Organizational skills, • Valid driver license legally allowing driving for work purposes during working hours, • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, • Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals, • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time while sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens, • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and twist while loading and unloading washers and dryers and handling linens, • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of linen bags, carts, and supplies, generally up to 40–50 pounds, • Ability to push or pull laundry carts throughout the laundry and storage areas, • Manual dexterity sufficient to sort linens, fold items, operate machinery controls, and handle cleaning supplies, • Ability to operate laundry equipment safely, including washers, dryers, presses, and folding tables, • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, humidity, noise, lint, and laundry chemicals, • Visual ability to inspect linens for cleanliness, damage, or stains, • Auditory and verbal ability to communicate with coworkers and respond to safety alerts, • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations
