Position Summary The Senior HR Generalist serves as a key member of the Human Resources team, providing hands-on support across the full spectrum of HR functions with a strong emphasis on Learning & Development (L&D), employee engagement, and organizational development. This role partners closely with the Director of HR to advance strategic initiatives, support leadership development programs, and drive continuous improvement across HR operations. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and brings experience designing and delivering training programs, managing employee relations, and supporting workforce planning efforts. Key Responsibilities Learning & Development • Design, coordinate, and deliver training programs including leadership development, compliance, safety, and skills-based training, • Support the company's Training Action Plan by tracking progress, scheduling sessions, and measuring outcomes, • Partner with department leaders to conduct training needs assessments and develop targeted learning solutions, • Manage cross-training initiatives and maintain skills matrices within the HRIS (Paylocity), • Facilitate workshops, lunch-and-learns, and other development sessions, • Evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement Employee Relations & Engagement • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace concerns, performance issues, and conflict resolution, • Conduct and support internal investigations, including documentation and recommended outcomes, • Administer the employee reprimand and corrective action process, • Support employee engagement initiatives including surveys, recognition programs, wellness challenges, and the company newsletter, • Assist with succession planning efforts, including interview coordination and tracker maintenance HR Operations & Compliance • Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, status changes, and recordkeeping, • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, I-9, etc.), • Maintain and update HRIS records, generate reports, and support system optimization in Paylocity, • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications, • Support workers' compensation case management and return-to-work coordination, • Maintain and update job descriptions, the employee handbook, and HR policy documentation Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning • Assist with internship program coordination, onboarding, and project oversight, • Contribute to workforce planning initiatives including organizational charts and staffing analysis, • Help manage temp agency relationships and conversion processes Strategic HR Support • Partner with the Director of HR to execute the department's annual strategic objectives, • Prepare reports, presentations, and data analysis to support leadership decision-making, • Assist with compensation analysis and benchmarking projects, • Represent HR in cross-functional meetings and serve as a liaison between departments Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field, • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity, • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning and development programs, • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, OSHA), • Experience with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred) and timekeeping systems (Kronos/UKG a plus), • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentRequirements: Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field, • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity, • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning and development programs, • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, OSHA), • Experience with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred) and timekeeping systems (Kronos/UKG a plus), • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification, • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred, • Experience with succession planning and organizational development, • Familiarity with safety and compliance in a manufacturing setting, • Experience supporting or managing an internship or early-career program Key Competencies • Relationship Builder: Builds trust and rapport across all levels of the organization, • Problem Solver: Approaches challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset, • Self-Starter: Takes initiative and drives projects to completion with minimal direction, • Adaptable: Comfortable navigating change and shifting priorities, • Detail-Oriented: Maintains accuracy in documentation, data, and compliance, • Collaborative: Works effectively across departments and with leadership Work Location This is a full-time, in-person position located at: 3701 Holmes Rd #1545, Houston, TX 77051
