Job DescriptionDescription: The Vice President of Access Services is a strategic, visionary leader responsible for overseeing and expanding CSD’s Access Services division, with a primary focus on driving the growth and operational excellence of Sign Language and captioning services. This role involves building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, partners, and a diverse pool of independent interpreting contractors while leading strategic business development efforts for CSD Access. Collaborating closely with internal marketing teams and other stakeholders, the VP will identify and execute opportunities for expansion and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in managing interpreting agencies, scaling operations, and leveraging technology to enhance the quality and efficiency of CSD Access’ services. Success in this role requires exceptional networking capabilities, a proven track record of business growth, contract management, deep familiarity with operations, and a passion for creating seamless, accessible communication experiences that empower the communities CSD serves. Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow CSD Access Services, with a focus on sign language and captioning offerings., • Provide visionary leadership to ensure alignment with CSD’s mission and the long-term goals of the CSD Access division., • Serve as the primary driver of business development efforts for CSD Access Services., • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to expand market presence., • Lead, manage, and grow a large network of independent interpreting contractors to meet diverse client needs., • Ensure effective scheduling, compliance, and quality standards for all interpreting services., • Work closely with the Division President and other CSD Access leadership to align strategic priorities and initiatives., • Partner cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, Legal, and Finance to support service expansion and compliance., • Represent CSD Access Services in external forums, conferences, and strategic partnerships., • Strategic Leadership: Ability to develop and execute long-term growth strategies for VRI and captioning services aligned with CSD’s mission and goals., • Business Development Expertise: Proven skill in identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the interpreting and accessibility industries., • Agency Management: Deep experience with the operational management of interpreting and/or captioning agencies., • Operational Management: Strong experience managing large-scale operations, including independent contractor networks and service delivery systems., • Technological Savvy: Knowledge of VRI and related technologies with the ability to assess and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and service quality., • Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to support sustainable growth and operational success., • Relationship Building: Exceptional networking and relationship management skills to engage clients, partners, and community stakeholders., • Change Management: Ability to lead teams and organizations through growth and transformation with a focus on scalability and impact., • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, including proficiency in presenting complex ideas to diverse audiences., • Inclusive Leadership: Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of leadership and decision-making. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)., • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in interpreting services, accessibility services, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role., • 5–10 years of experience in business development, with a proven record of driving service growth and expansion., • 5–10 years of experience leading and scaling high-performing teams, including independent contractor networks., • Demonstrated expertise in managing and growing interpreting agencies, with deep understanding of VRI, captioning, and related technologies., • Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that drive operational efficiency and revenue growth., • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders., • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and scalability., • Well-connected within the interpreting, Deaf, and hard-of-hearing communities, with established industry relationships., • Commitment to CSD’s mission and values, with a passion for creating accessible, inclusive communication experiences., • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language (Required)
