We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Lighting Controls Programmer to lead the configuration, programming, and commissioning of advanced lighting control systems across stadium environments. This role requires hands-on experience with MADRIX software and an in-depth understanding of DMX/RDM protocols. Familiarity with Pharos control systems is a strong plus, and wireless CRMX experience is also preferred. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to deliver dynamic and reliable lighting installations from design through deployment. This position is based out of Austin, TX for one of our sister companies, with 60 – 70% travel to various job sites in multiple states as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Program and configure lighting control systems using MADRIX., • Perform on-site commissioning using RDM for fixture discovery, addressing, and system diagnostics., • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop lighting effects, scenes, and sequences., • Lead or assist in system setup, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation., • Travel to job sites for commissioning, testing, and system support as required., • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, patching, and addressing. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Proven experience with MADRIX software and DMX-based lighting control systems., • Strong knowledge of DMX512, RDM, and Ethernet-based protocols such as Art-Net or sACN., • Ability to work independently in dynamic, fast-paced environments., • Solid networking knowledge (IP configuration, subnetting, etc.)., • Ability to interpret system schematics, data sheets, and lighting plans., • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills., • Broad product knowledge in professional lighting systems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with Pharos control systems (LPC, TPS, Designer software)., • Wireless CRMX (LumenRadio) experience preferred., • Hands-on experience with wireless DMX systems., • Background in low-voltage or high-voltage wiring, AV/lighting system installation, or live event production. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPENSATION: • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in architectural, theatrical, or sports lighting projects preferred., • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
