Job DescriptionJob Title: General Production Worker Job Description This role supports the weld shop by preparing and fabricating metal components to precise specifications. You will work alongside welders to cut, drill, and form materials using a variety of shop equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality in every part produced. Responsibilities • Work in the weld shop alongside welders to support daily fabrication activities., • Cut material to specification using band saws, following detailed measurements and instructions., • Operate drill presses to create accurate holes and features in metal components., • Use a press brake to make bends according to prints and specified angles., • Read and interpret basic blueprints to determine required cuts, bends, and hole locations., • Measure materials accurately with a tape measure down to 1/16" to ensure precise fabrication., • Deburr parts after cutting or drilling to remove sharp edges and ensure safe, clean finishes., • Follow production instructions and prints to maintain consistency and quality across all parts., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to shop safety and housekeeping standards., • Collaborate with team members in the weld shop to meet production goals and timelines.Essential Skills, • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately down to 1/16"., • Experience operating a press brake for forming and bending metal parts., • Experience using a drill press in a manufacturing or fabrication setting., • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints for cuts, bends, and hole placement., • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a fabrication shop environment., • Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and quality workmanship., • Comfort working with band saws and other common fabrication tools., • Ability to perform deburring and finishing tasks on fabricated parts.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience working in a weld or fabrication shop is preferred., • Familiarity with band saw operation for cutting metal stock to specification., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from prints and work orders., • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools., • Reliability and punctuality for 1st shift work with some start-time flexibility.Why Work Here? You will work primarily on 1st shift, with standard hours of 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and some flexibility for schedules as early as 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The position involves regular use of band saws, drill presses, and press brakes, along with other common fabrication tools. The facility emphasizes organization, safety, and a professional shop atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of De Pere, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
