Job DescriptionSalary: $60,000-$80,000 Now Hiring: Pre-License Doctoral Child/Adolescent Clinical or School Psychologist for Post-Doc Are you a recent graduate of a school or clinical psychology program who loves working with children, adolescents and families? If so, read on Heres the 30,000-foot view of the job As a psychologist at Rice Psychology Group (RPG), youll conduct intakes, decide on the best approach for treatment and provide therapy suited to patient needs and your expertise. Youll primarily work with children, teens, and their families. There is plenty of time to connect with other providers and schools. We have strong community relationships and a steady stream of child, teen and family referrals looking for therapy. You will also have the option to see adults if you like. At RPG, your first year will be spent gradually establishing your caseload, meeting with your supervisor, and getting to know your colleagues and the culture of RPG. We start post-docs and early career psychologists by doing some sessions alongside your supervisor or other licensed psychologists at the practice. We find it a nice way to get started so we can get to know your style and you get first-hand experience of how we work. You will have a mix of clients to keep things interesting and will be encouraged to stretch a little with your supervisor's and others' support at RPG. You will directly impact the healing of families and individuals in our community while simultaneously developing your personal brand as a foremost expert in your niche. We are looking for someone who would enjoy doing a mix of therapy and psychological assessment and who already has a relatively strong background in testing with children and adolescents, particularly for learning and attention challenges. Work up to a 25 hour per week billable caseload in your first year using our extensive community referral network and taking on existing RPG clients., 2. Be on your patients team from day one by conducting new patient intakes. An intake includes clear notes, impressions and initial treatment targets/goals. For minors, we usually do a parent intake first followed by a child session and then formalize our plan in partnership with the family., 3. Create dynamic treatment plans for clients and their families. Communicate the benchmarks and timeline of the plan clearly and concisely, so everyone is on the same page., 4. Provide individual and family therapy with compassion, ingenuity, and confidence. We want a therapist who is not afraid to innovate, research, and work with patients to offer the best fit therapy-wise., 5. Conduct an array of psychological assessments as needed and write clear and concise evaluation reports. Develop strong relationships with potential and current clients by engaging with our Tampa community. Consult with other clinicians to work through problems, offer insight, and work collaboratively on cases with heightened risk levels., 8. Stay on the cutting edge with technology. We work with Zoom, PsykDesk Online, Microsoft Office for Business 365, GoZen and online testing platforms such as Q-Global, MHS, Riverside Score (WJ), Par iConnect, and WPS online. Familiarity or willingness to learn is a definite asset! What do you need to succeed in this role? • Strong credentials: You must have a Florida Psychology license or be Florida license-eligible as a post-doc., • Experience and interest: You are familiar and comfortable with working with school-aged children and teenagers and their families. Wed be thrilled if youre experienced with any of the following therapy modalities: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), play therapy and/or treating trauma., • A flexible schedule. All of our therapists work two evenings a week and most opt not to work weekends, but you can typically organize your schedule in a way that is convenient for both you and your clients., • A commitment to your practice.
