Job Description Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator After applying message Meredith @513-229-2009** to schedule your initial phone screen Job Description This role operates and monitors automated packaging line equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment, ensuring products are packaged accurately, safely, and in compliance with established procedures and cGMP standards. The Packaging Machine Operator performs a variety of hands-on tasks, maintains accurate documentation, supports equipment troubleshooting, and contributes to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities • Operate and closely monitor packaging line equipment to ensure consistent, efficient, and safe production., • Perform manual packaging tasks such as hand cartoning or packing, labeling, palletizing, cleanup, and hopper filling., • Assist with line clearances between batches and during product changeovers, following cleanup sheet directions and documented procedures., • Support the troubleshooting of equipment and process issues by identifying problems and assisting in their resolution., • Maintain accurate, complete, and error-free records, including Line Packaging Records (LPR) and other required documentation., • Follow production documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) at all times., • Monitor operations for deviations, quality risks, or mechanical problems, and promptly escalate issues as needed., • Identify and suggest improvements in safety, product quality, and operational efficiency., • Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to department safety rules and guidelines., • Attend scheduled trainings and complete all required annual training to remain current with procedures and compliance requirements., • High School Diploma or equivalent., • Experience in manufacturing operations or packaging, preferably in a GMP-regulated facility., • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning, setup, or troubleshooting., • Basic reading comprehension skills to follow technical instructions, SOPs, and production documents., • Basic math skills to perform LPR calculations and other production-related measurements., • Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team., • High attention to detail and the ability to manage diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment., • Ability to lift materials up to 35 lbs. as needed., • Experience in pharmaceutical production is preferred., • Experience working in a GMP facility is preferred. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility with a focus on packaging operations and adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). You will work around automated and mechanical packaging equipment, perform both machine operation and manual tasks such as cartoning, labeling, palletizing, and cleanup. The position follows a weekday schedule, including morning shifts (for example, Monday through Wednesday mornings), with the potential for additional hours as production needs require. The environment requires consistent use of personal protective equipment, including white zone gowning and various respirators (½ face, 3M hood, full face, dust mask), to maintain safety and product integrity. Work involves standing for extended periods, handling materials up to 35 lbs., and moving between different work areas or lines as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
