DescriptionThe QC Chemist will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of compounded pharmaceuticals by performing a variety of testing and quality control activities. This role is critical in supporting compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory requirements specific to the compounding industry. Responsibilities • Execute analytical testing (potency, sterility, endotoxins, and stability) on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished compounded products., • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, including test results, batch records, and regulatory paperwork to ensure full traceability., • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to laboratory equipment, testing methods, or products., • Investigate deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) results, actively assisting with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes., • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and investigations by providing required documentation and test results., • Assist in reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with current regulatory standards.QualificationsThe ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in analytical chemistry and rigorous attention to detail, with a deep understanding of 503B FDA guidelines and USP standards. They must be highly capable of navigating a heavily regulated compounding pharmacy environment, ensuring strict compliance across all documentation, testing protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures.
