Summary Redwire Space Missions LLC is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor - Spacecraft Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for our Littleton, CO facility. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of technicians responsible for building and testing mission-critical prototype and flight hardware. You will coordinate daily activities, optimize workflows, and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This position blends people leadership with technical oversight to deliver on schedule, meet rigorous aerospace standards, and directly enable mission success. Responsibilities • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of AI&T technicians; set clear expectations and model Redwire's values., • Conduct daily standups; assign and balance work across priorities, skills, and schedules., • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and technical training, support onboarding and skills development., • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement., • Coordinate day-to-day operations for mechanical/electrical assembly, integration, and test technician activities., • Maintain visual management and track progress against production schedules; proactively resolve bottlenecks., • Communicate status, risks, and mitigations to production management, engineering, program management, and quality., • Ensure travelers, work instructions, and records are completed accurately and on time., • Oversee production of flight hardware, including mechanical assembly and electrical assembly per drawings, procedures, and quality standards., • Perform/authorize assembly, rework, and repair of spaceflight hardware; ensure workmanship excellence and proper signoffs., • Identify, document, and escalate nonconformances; collaborate with Quality on MRB, root cause, and corrective actions., • Champion ESD/FOD control, tool calibration, and cleanroom/lab best practices (as applicable)., • Drive adherence to aerospace standards and internal procedures; enforce stop-work when safety/quality are at risk., • Promote risk reduction, hazard communication, and standard work; participate in audits and readiness reviews., • Own lab organization and 5S; optimize layout, storage, and flow to improve safety and efficiency., • Forecast and coordinate material, consumables, and equipment needs, partner with Supply Chain for availability., • Work with Facilities/Maintenance to ensure equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, and timely repair; manage calibrations., • Implement lean practices (5S, waste elimination, visual management, standard work), lead kaizen improvements., • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize manufacturing orders, process instructions, and change implementation. Ideal Experience, • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; advanced technical training/certifications preferred., • 6+ years in aerospace or spacecraft AI&T roles, including leadership of technicians., • Strong mechanical aptitude and general shop/lab experience., • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, SharePoint)., • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and components; lift/move up to 50 lbs., • Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision Desired Skills, • Extensive hands-on experience with mechanical assembly of flight hardware and precision assembly., • Experience with soldering, polymerics, harnessing, and complex assemblies., • Experience working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coatings, and other common manufacturing chemicals., • Ability to interpret diagrams, drawings, travelers, ECNs/ECRs, and detailed procedures, • Test support experience (setup, operation, data capture, and breakdown)., • Familiarity with ESD, cleanroom practices, and aerospace workmanship standards (e.g., IPC-A-610/620, J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739.1)., • Experience with lean/5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives., • Strong problem-solving, communication, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to take ownership and manage multiple priorities., • Comfort collaborating with production management, engineering, quality, supply chain, and program teams.
