Job DescriptionJob Title: Electronics Technician Job Description This role involves diagnosing, testing, and repairing electronic equipment with a focus on point-of-sale systems. You will refurbish equipment to meet quality and cosmetic standards, ensure timely turnaround, and accurately document all repairs. You work both independently and as part of a team, using computers, test equipment, and small hand tools while following detailed written work instructions. Responsibilities • Diagnose, test, and repair faulty electronic equipment, with a focus on point-of-sale devices., • Refurbish equipment to meet quality and cosmetic standards and ensure turnaround times are met., • Use computers, electronic test equipment, and small hand tools to perform troubleshooting, testing, and repairs., • Read, interpret, and follow written work instructions, diagrams, schematics, and electrical documentation., • Record and document all repairs completed on equipment accurately and in a timely manner., • Follow the established flow of order for testing and calibrating equipment., • Perform soldering and assembly tasks as needed to complete repairs., • Conduct calibration of equipment to ensure proper performance and accuracy., • Meet established productivity and output standards while maintaining high quality of work., • Communicate effectively with team members and maintain a professional demeanor., • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area., • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve successful completion of assignments.Essential Skills, • Hands-on experience troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electronic equipment, particularly point-of-sale systems., • Proficiency with electronic test equipment and small hand tools., • Ability to read and follow written work instructions, diagrams, schematics, and electrical documentation., • Strong electronics knowledge, including basic electrical principles., • Soldering skills for repair and assembly tasks., • Ability to perform calibration of electronic equipment., • Attention to detail and the ability to follow diagrams and testing workflows accurately., • Comfort using computers to support testing, documentation, and repair processes., • Strong problem-solving ability in a technical environment., • Dependability and reliability in meeting work commitments., • Effective communication skills and the ability to maintain professionalism., • Ability to consistently meet productivity and output standards., • Commitment to following all safety procedures.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working with point-of-sale equipment in a repair or refurbishment environment., • Background in electronics assembly and repair., • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team., • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple repair tasks and documentation., • Comfort working in a structured environment with defined processes and standards.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
