Job Description Job Title: Fleet Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic for our 2nd and 3rd shifts, with working hours from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday night through Saturday morning. This role requires a strong familiarity with forklift repair, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities • Perform mechanical and hydraulic repairs on forklifts, comprising 40% of the role., • Conduct electrical, electronic, and diesel work on heavy trucks, making up 50% of responsibilities., • Work on tugs and automated carts as needed., • Execute preventative maintenance work and adhere to monthly safety compliance schedules., • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in MHE fleet equipment., • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components including electrical systems, motors, drive systems, rear ends, and brakes., • Perform regular preventive maintenance and safety inspections according to schedule., • Respond promptly to service calls and equipment breakdowns., • Maintain accurate equipment service records and documentation., • Complete daily checklists and maintenance logs in the Corrigo system., • Order necessary replacement parts while managing inventory., • Minimum of 3 years of mechanic experience in electrical, hydraulics, and engines., • Hydraulic troubleshooting expertise., • 5 years of experience with electrical forklift repair., • Possession of a forklift license., • Experience with electric forklifts., • Technical training or schooling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.05 - $30.05/hr.
