Job DescriptionJob Title: Calibration Technician Job Description The Calibration Technician runs customer equipment through automated tests, analyzes test data to identify failures, and supports accurate repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic instruments. This role focuses on ensuring product functionality, maintaining precise documentation, and supporting product quality through detailed data review and escalation of complex issues to specialized teams. Responsibilities • Run customer equipment and products through automated test systems to verify functionality and performance., • Review and interpret test data outputs to identify failures, anomalies, and performance issues., • Analyze test results to determine the root cause and location of failures within the product or instrument., • Escalate unusual, complex, or non-standard product issues to repair technicians, engineering, or specialized support groups., • Communicate repair trends, recurring product failures, and common issues to relevant teams to support product quality and customer satisfaction., • Complete calibration data sheets accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with internal standards and customer requirements., • Maintain thorough documentation to support customer requirements, quality records, ISO compliance, and reporting systems., • Adhere to all Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and work instructions during testing and calibration activities., • Perform both routine and complex tasks related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic instrumentation., • Work on instruments returned for factory service, performing repairs that range from modular troubleshooting to component-level diagnostics., • Use test and measurement equipment, such as oscilloscopes and other instrumentation, to troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues., • Follow schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support diagnostics, assembly, and repair activities., • Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on test processes, recurring issues, and potential enhancements.Essential Skills, • On-the-job electronics training with practical, hands-on experience., • Strong understanding of electronic fundamentals and basic electrical theory., • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics accurately., • Demonstrated diagnostic experience in troubleshooting electronic or electrical equipment., • Ability to use test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes and other instrumentation., • Experience with instrumentation calibration and electronics testing., • Skill in electronics troubleshooting within a manufacturing or test environment., • Capability to perform modular and component-level diagnostics on electronic instruments., • Coachable attitude with a willingness to learn, take feedback, and follow established procedures., • Ability to complete technical documentation and calibration data sheets with accuracy and attention to detail., • Comfort working with mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies, including PCBs and related components., • Ability to follow blueprints and technical drawings for assembly and troubleshooting tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Military electronics training is a plus., • Formal training or education in electronics is preferred., • Experience with instrumentation, soldering, and electronic assembly work., • Familiarity with test equipment, measurement equipment, and electronics manufacturing processes., • Experience working with diagnostic instrumentation in a production or factory service environment., • Ability to interpret and apply ISO and quality-related requirements in daily work., • Strong communication skills to clearly relay trends, issues, and findings to cross-functional teams., • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with repair technicians and engineering teams.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing environment focused on test, measurement, and diagnostic instrumentation. You will work an 8-hour shift with a flexible start time between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., providing some flexibility in your daily schedule. The work involves regular use of electronic test and measurement equipment, oscilloscopes, and tools for troubleshooting, calibration, soldering, and assembly of electronic and mechanical components such as PCBs. The environment is structured around established Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO-compliant processes, with an emphasis on accurate documentation, adherence to procedures, and safe handling of electronic equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
