Job Description Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona (JPSA) is a mission-driven Jewish nonprofit dedicated to partnering with organizations, families and individuals to foster and enhance community and respond to those in need -- enriching Southern Arizona, the Jewish people and the world. The Impact and Engagement Coordinator supports our Impact and Engagement department (including Center for Jewish Resilience, Weintraub Israel Center and Education) in planning, grantmaking, scholarships, project support, program and events support, and a variety of engagement initiatives. This role is pivotal in expanding our outreach, impact, ensuring the success of projects and programs, and deepening our relationships with partner organizations. Key Pillars · Community Planning Support · Grantmaking Support · Engagement Support Essential Functions Planning Coordination and Support • Support the development and implementation of planning, grantmaking and engagement initiatives, projects, and programs at JPSA., • Coordinate interdepartmental collaboration to ensure greater efficiencies and successful programming. Coordinate collaboration between JPSA and community stakeholders (e.g.: synagogues and agencies)., • Inventory and facilitate the purchase of supplies as needed for departmental programs., • Assist in preparing reports and materials for related projects and programs. Community Engagement Support • Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with community partners., • Support Ecosystem activities and initiatives., • Support donor and partner engagement efforts through events, communication and outreach., • Assist in organizing learning opportunities and community dialogues related to JPSA initiatives., • Manage the Senior Transportation program by reconciling monthly invoices, communicating with service provides and coordinating transportation exceptions., • Coordinate the Volunteer program by matching volunteers with appropriate volunteer opportunities., • Support the work of the community Shlicha as needed (registration, meeting prep, etc.)., • Support the work of Center for Jewish Resilience as needed (research, outreach, etc.). Grants and Scholarships Coordination and Support • Assist in administering the grants process including outreach for RFPs, committee communication and application review., • Maintain records of communications, applications, reports and awards., • Maintain records and facilitate communication for scholarship applications and processes., • Assist in the preparations for meetings and presentations. Programming and Events Coordination and Support • Coordinate events and programs including registration, name tags, sourcing and ordering supplies, swag and awards/gifts for events., • Assist in the management of event timelines, budgets and post event evaluations., • Collaborate with marketing to assist in developing promotional materials, invitations and digital campaigns., • Maintain and provide marketing event related content for the website, social media and other communication materials., • Serve as a point of contact for programs and events with staff, event participants and community members., • Carry and drive items to/from office for program and events. Administrative Support • Assist in the management of grant-related documentation, scholarships and award process., • Provide scheduling and support (prep, tear down, note taking) for projects, events and committee meetings., • Assist in preparing communication materials, presentations and reports. Other • Demonstrate JPSA’s core values which include being flexible, open-minded, reliable, accountable, creative, a critical thinker, an effective collaborator, an open and respectful communicator, a good ambassador for the organization and ready to pivot as necessary., • Work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed to accomplish the essential functions of the role., • Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • Basic knowledge about the local Jewish community, culture and practices., • Passion for the JPSA mission and its work to sustain the Jewish community including Israel and world Jewry., • Bachelor’s degree from accredited 4-year college or university., • At least two years relevant work experience., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel and Power Point as well as Outlook, Zoom and Adobe., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Professional phone etiquette., • Enthusiastic attitude and comfort working in a rapidly changing and fast-moving environment. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, Jewish studies, public administration, or related field., • 2-4 years of experience in a nonprofit or philanthropic setting assisting with program coordination.
