Job Description Position summary The NICET II Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for performing periodic inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA 25, local codes, and company standards. The inspector documents findings, identifies and communicates deficiencies, and helps ensure systems are code-compliant and fully operational to protect life and property. Key responsibilities • Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) on fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, preaction, deluge, and related valves, piping, and components) per NFPA 25 and applicable codes., • Inspect and test associated devices such as fire department connections, gauges, control valves, and, where qualified, backflow preventers and fire pumps., • Accurately complete inspection reports, noting system conditions, test results, and any deficiencies, and submit documentation within required time frames., • Communicate inspection results and recommended corrective actions to customers and internal service/sales teams in a clear, professional manner., • Generate or support proposals for repairs, remediation of deficiencies, and system upgrades based on inspection findings., • Follow safety policies and procedures, including use of appropriate PPE and safe work practices on construction and occupied sites., • Coordinate schedules, access, and site requirements with customers to complete inspections with minimal disruption to operations., • Inspect and tag fire extinguishers and/or special hazards systems if appropriately trained and certified., • Provide limited troubleshooting and minor repairs within scope of authority, referring larger repairs to service technicians. The Fixed Assets (FA) Accountant prepares, maintains and reconciles fixed asset accounts on a daily basis. The FA Accountant monitors the FA function from basic data entry to producing customized detailed reports for management through utilization of the Oracle Fixed Asset System and related data management queries. Strong accounting skills are needed for success in this role. This position reports directly to the Fixed Assets Supervisor ? Reviews, reconciles and analyzes all assigned fixed asset general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed. ? Process & review capital equipment requisitions, invoices, and purchase orders and ensure assets are capitalized in accordance with GAAP. ? Processes sales/proceeds from sales of assets, as well as activity for closed components. ? Maintains asset buyback information for ARAMARK clients, including preparation of amortization schedules and buyback interest schedules. ? A brief walk-through is necessary to assess the house's readiness for testing. This process includes, but is not limited to, closing all exterior doors and windows, gaining access to every room within the home, and a visual inspection of the heating and air conditioning system. Duct testing requires locating and sealing-off every HVAC opening (supply and return vent), in most cases using a ladder to reach overhead vents in ceilings. Upon completion of the tests, the results will be loaded into our software program, RaterHelper. This software will compute the results to determine if the testing has passed or failed. A passed test will end with the posting of an Energy Code certificate for the customer (the Construction Manager) to present to their Building Code Inspector. A failed test will end with a brief investigation into why the testing failed and a detailed report for the customer documenting the failed result and an explanation as to why. Although the Field Technician will always be inside a house during testing, there will often be times when there is no heat or air conditioning within the testing location. Therefore, it must be understood and expected that the Field Technician will be exposed to a variety of environmental situations, such as extreme heat and cold, and access to testing locations may require exposure to rain and other elements. Along with these climate related factors, the Field Technician will be faced with other common hazards found on construction sites, such as uneven surfaces, sharp objects, etc. The Field Technician role at Performance Point is the starting point on the path towards a certified Energy Rater.
