Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembly Technician Pay: $18.66-$19.66 an hour//Paid Weekly!!! Looking to hire immediately! Job Description Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will be responsible for assembling a variety of mechanical units according to specifications in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves utilizing a wide range of hand, power, and air tools to construct and complete assemblies and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities • Perform all functions, except welding, at various stations and feeder areas in the assigned department., • Flexibly move to different workstations and assembly lines as needed., • Assemble mechanical support assemblies to precise specifications., • Identify and assemble all necessary parts accurately., • Practice and sustain 5’s methods for an organized workspace., • Understand and utilize material ordering systems effectively., • Apply proper sealing procedures for all products., • Read data plates and understand motor sizes., • Perform plumbing and electrical work on units as required., • Work safely from ladders up to 20 feet in height., • Familiarize with knockdown packing and crating procedures., • Install special accessories on units, ensuring proper function and installation., • Adhere to ISO procedures, policies, and instructions for quality assurance., • Mentor team members and drive LEAN principles in the area., • Continually develop ways to improve safety performance and resolve safety issues., • Help achieve departmental safety goals, including near miss reporting and safety metrics., • Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and teamwork capabilities., • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken., • Good communication skills and professionalism in interactions., • Understanding of bill of materials., • Working knowledge of computers, • Ability to use simple math and basic handheld measuring tools., • Capability to work well with others and adapt quickly to change., • Experience in assembly, using hand tools, power tools, and air tools., • Ability to read blueprints and tape measures. Be prepared for varying weather conditions as large bay doors may be open. Housekeeping is done per shift, and you may get dirty during work. Steel toe or composite toe boots (self-supplied) are required, along with PPE provided by the company, including ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and arm shields. Tools are supplied as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milford, Delaware Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.66 - $19.66/hr.
