Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Associate – Forklift and Material Handling Pay: $21.64 an hour//Paid Weekly!! Job Description This role supports efficient warehouse operations by safely handling materials, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, and ensuring accurate staging, packaging, and shipment of products. You will work in a heavy industrial environment on a structured training path and contribute directly to daily production and shipping goals. Responsibilities • Pull and stage material accurately for production according to work orders and instructions., • Prepare and complete final packaging of material to meet quality and shipping standards., • Operate forklifts and side loaders safely to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse., • Use overhead cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials in a safe and controlled manner., • Stage materials for outbound shipping, ensuring correct quantities, tags, and documentation., • Support general production tasks, including material handling, truck loading, and shipping and receiving activities., • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to warehouse safety protocols., • Meet daily deadlines and production or shipping targets before the end of each shift., • Communicate proactively with team members and ask questions when instructions or processes are unclear., • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a heavy industrial, dirty environment., • Attend and complete all required safety and process training across multiple shifts., • Use basic computer systems to read or update information related to materials, tags, and orders. Essential Skills • Previous experience in general production, material handling, or warehouse operations., • Forklift experience, including safe operation for moving and staging materials., • Experience operating overhead cranes or a strong willingness to learn crane operation., • Experience in shipping and receiving and truck loading in an industrial or warehouse setting., • Ability to lift materials and remain physically flexible to perform a variety of warehouse tasks., • Regular and reliable attendance to support consistent warehouse operations., • Basic math skills to verify counts, measurements, and quantities., • Basic reading skills to understand work orders, tags, and safety instructions., • Basic computer skills to navigate simple systems and documentation., • Ability to work effectively in a heavy industrial environment that can be dirty, cold in winter, and hot in summer., • Self-motivated work style with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team., • Willingness to ask questions and seek clarification rather than waiting for direction when unsure. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Crane and forklift experience in a heavy industrial setting., • Experience with production support, including packaging and staging materials., • Comfort working across multiple shifts during the training period, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts., • Ability to understand and interpret tags and material identification systems., • Willingness to learn specific processes such as material flow, packaging standards, and the “dotting” process., • Strong focus on safety and adherence to all PPE and procedural requirements. Work Environment This position is based in a heavy industrial warehouse environment that can be dirty, with open doors leading to cold conditions in the winter and hot conditions in the summer. You will work primarily on 2nd shift from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with two openings available. The role includes a structured training schedule: Week 1 on 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) focused on safety training; Week 2 on 2nd shift (1:00 PM to 9:00 PM) learning process flow, material understanding, packaging, and how to read and understand tags; Week 3 on 2nd shift assisting the team in processing orders; Week 4 on 3rd shift (9:00 PM to 5:00 AM) shadowing a 3rd shift employee; and Week 5 on 3rd shift continuing training, learning the process, and understanding the “dotting” process. The environment is fast-paced, with an expectation to meet daily deadlines before leaving each day. The culture favors individuals who are self-motivated, team-oriented, and comfortable asking questions when they are unsure. Dress code includes mandatory steel-toed boots, work pants, and a work shirt suitable for getting dirty. All other personal protective equipment, such as hard hat, safety glasses, and ear and hearing protection, is provided.
