Job Description Job Description Job Title: Facility Maintenance Lead Pay Grade: H5 Reports To: Facility Manager FAA / DOT Safety Sensitive: No Department: People/Facilities Maintenance FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department Number: I00608 EEO1 Class: Craft Workers Headcount Budget: Indirect Last Reviewed: 1/2026 SUMMARY Performs Facility Maintenance tasks with minimal to no supervision and directs the activities of the maintenance staff through interaction with employees to ensure efficiency, achieve desired goals, and keep cost within budgetary requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead, assist, and guide maintenance duties for maintaining and repairing the facility while participating as a working crew member., • Assist manager as required to improve procedures, evaluate employee performance, and control cost., • Provide maintenance and repair of miscellaneous aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE), • Schedule building maintenance to include electrical, carpentry, environmental control, communications installations, and other work as necessary to maintain structural and systems integrity., • Accomplish minor and major maintenance (overhaul) of various vehicles, hoists, generators, hydraulic service units, compressors, and non-powered maintenance platforms, scaffolding, ladders, lifts, etc., • Requisition materials and supplies as necessary for proper job completion., • Repair and maintain any plumbing necessary., • Repair and maintain physical structure., • Inspect work performed by other maintenance workers., • Fuel Farm oversight and compliance, • Knowledgeable in the use of basic tools to perform necessary maintenance or repairs., • Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials., • Ensure machinery, equipment, and the facility are properly maintained for efficient production, • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, 12-Volt DC electric, and ground service equipment., • Assure that machinery, equipment, and the facility are properly maintained for efficient production., • Minor and major maintenance (overhaul) of various vehicles, cranes, generators, hydraulic service units, compressors, and non-powered maintenance platforms, scaffolding, ladders, lifts, etc., • Inspect, service, and repair ground service equipment and vehicles., • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards., • Complete initial / recurrent training requirements in a timely manner., • Train maintenance staff in work methods and procedures., • Inspect work to maintain safety, quality and appearance., • Schedule facility maintenance staff for special projects. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent reading, writing and math abilities., • 7+ years related experience and / or training preferred in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or general facility maintenance work., • Shielded metal arc welding (stick) and metal inert gas welding (MIG) experience preferred., • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team., • Effective written and verbal communication skills., • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
