The Production Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of products/processes and assisting with various production/warehouse responsibilities. This position is responsible for assisting the operations team with day-to-day duties and assignments including but not limited to production manufacturing / assembling and ensuring the quality of products and processes are present. Merits Health Products | Enhancing Life Through Mobility Merits Health Products USA - YouTube Merits Health Products (@meritshealthusa) Instagram photos and videos Merits Health Products, Inc. | Fort Myers FL | Facebook ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Collaborate with cross functional teams to assist with production and/or warehouse operations and assignments., • Mechanical and electrical assembly and adjustments of products to satisfy orders and inventory., • Assemble and package product properly for shipment., • Use and maintain tools to complete necessary tasks., • Thoroughly test unit to ensure all functions operate properly., • Log all serial numbers of serialized sections used on order., • Stock product., • Communicate order status to correct team member(s) as applicable., • Quality Control Evaluation and reporting to the Production Supervisor or designee., • Assist in technical review of all returned materials and assist team members with questions regarding products/orders., • Return all items to inventory or discard based on technical inspection and final disposition., • Maintain OSHA Safety guidelines and other regulatory State and Federal standards., • Maintain cleanliness of the production work area., • Perform relocation, replenishment and consolidation of product as directed., • Maintain proper paperwork including, but not limited to, customer orders and pull sheets., • Maintain company safety and OSHA guidelines., • Safe operation of equipment., • Maintain order and cleanliness of work areas and lots., • Follow company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required., • Other duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS: • Must abide by Company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required., • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as sales orders, bills of lading, safety rules/guidelines, etc., • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices., • Manual dexterity, good physical condition and strength, and good balance is needed for safety., • A willingness to work overtime, arrive early, and/or stay late according to business / project needs., • Manual dexterity, good physical condition and strength, and good balance is needed for safety., • Must have the ability to safely lift, move, push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds. repeatedly, regularly (daily) while maintaining quotas and deadlines., • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills are needed., • Have a willingness to work overtime as per business needs., • Must be dependable with an excellent attendance record., • Must speak, read, and write English and have effective communication skills., • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Educational Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent with at least one (1) year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of closely related experience, education, and/or training.
